How to get quality Traffic to your website
Traffic gets all the buzz nowadays – everyone wants to know how they can get more traffic to their site. Many beginner internet marketers follow the “more is better” rule: more site traffic means more $$$ in the bank!
There’s a caveat: you can have all the traffic in the world driven to your site, but if you do not provide quality information and products, your potential customers will be turned off to your site.
Here are a few ways to increase the quality of your content:
Make a List: No one wants to read a 2000-word dissertation on gardening tips. Turn your theses into easy-to-navigate lists.
Proofread: Think Dave Chappelle: “You graduated from grade school, and you don’t have to take sh*t from anybody.” Show off your 6th grade education by editing your content for grammar mistakes.
KISS: Keep it short and simple! Again, no one wants to read a 2000-word dissertation.
Make it snappy: No one cares how big your vocabulary is. Write as you would speak to a friend or coworker.
Use Clear Headlines: Let people know what you’re going to talk about right up front.
Write Clearly: Use short, clear sentences. Don’t try to sound like an academic.
Write for your reader: Don’t write for yourself. The reader is thinking “What’s In It For Me?” Always keep WIIFM in mind, and write to answer that question for your reader.
Become the expert: Establish yourself as the authority on your topic.
Answer questions: Always answer reader questions, and write articles to respond to frequently asked questions.
Start using these tips and your writing will dramatically improve!
